Return to sport and performance

Return to sport assessment in Richmond

Pain settling is useful, but it does not always mean you are ready. This appointment tests whether you are, before you go back to full training or competition.

It is late-stage rehabilitation for the gap between feeling better and being ready. Decisions rest on testing, not the calendar alone.

What the appointment involves

The Return to Performance Assessment is 60 minutes. I use relevant strength, power, movement and sport-specific testing to guide progression. The measures depend on the injury and the sport.

Time since injury matters, but it is not the only test. You receive a summary of where you are now, the gaps that remain and the next progression.

Who it suits

Athletes and active people returning from a significant injury, surgery or a long period away from full training. It also suits anyone who feels better but is unsure whether to load up again.

What you leave with
Clear measures, remaining priorities and a staged return plan.
Length and fee
60 minutes, $250. In person at Uplift Gym.

A new injury needs an initial appointment first

If the problem is new or still painful, start with an initial consultation. It covers the diagnosis and early plan. Come back for the Return to Performance Assessment when rehabilitation is well advanced.
