Last updated: 4 June 2026. Version 1.1. These terms are provided for transparency and should be reviewed from time to time.

1. About these terms

These terms govern the relationship between Bridge Road Physiotherapy, referred to as the clinic, we or us, and any person who books an appointment or receives physiotherapy services from us.

These terms apply to appointments booked online, by phone, by email or in person. By attending an appointment or completing an online booking, you confirm your agreement to these terms.

2. Online booking

Online bookings are made through Halaxy. A booking is confirmed when you receive a booking confirmation. Until you receive confirmation, your appointment is not guaranteed.

By completing an online booking you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, you have authority to make the booking, and you agree to these terms.

You may receive appointment confirmations and reminders by email or SMS. Reminders are a courtesy. You remain responsible for attending your appointment whether or not a reminder is received.

3. Cancellations and missed appointments

We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows the time to be offered to another patient.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee may apply. Missed appointments may be charged at the full consultation fee. Genuine emergencies will be considered at the discretion of the treating physiotherapist.

If you arrive late, your appointment may need to be shortened to avoid delaying other patients. The full consultation fee still applies.

4. Fees and payment

Current standard fees are published on the website. Initial consultations are $150. Follow-up consultations are $125. Fees may change from time to time.

Payment is required at the time of consultation. If your extras cover includes physiotherapy, you may be able to claim a rebate from your health fund. Rebate amounts vary by fund and policy.

No GP referral is required for a private physiotherapy appointment. Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plans are accepted with a valid referral. WorkCover, TAC and DVA claims are not currently accepted.

5. Clinical consent

By attending an appointment, you consent to physiotherapy assessment and treatment by an AHPRA-registered physiotherapist. Treatment may include physical assessment, education, exercise prescription, supervised rehabilitation, manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, taping and other clinically appropriate physiotherapy interventions.

You have the right to ask questions, receive clear explanations, refuse or stop any part of assessment or treatment, seek a second opinion, and make a complaint about your care.

Physiotherapy is generally safe, but some risks exist. Common effects include temporary soreness, stiffness or short-term symptom flare. Less common risks include skin irritation from taping, bruising, dizziness or other treatment-related symptoms. Please disclose relevant medical history, medications and health changes before treatment.

No specific result, cure or outcome is guaranteed. Recommendations are based on the information available, clinical assessment and current evidence.

Bridge Road Physiotherapy may use secure clinical documentation tools, including AI-assisted scribing software, to help prepare clinical notes. Your treating physiotherapist reviews clinical notes before they are saved. By attending an appointment you consent to this use; let your physiotherapist know if you would prefer notes were prepared without it.

6. Privacy and health information

Bridge Road Physiotherapy collects personal and health information needed to provide physiotherapy care. This may include contact details, health history, symptoms, treatment notes, payment details and communication records.

Your information is used to assess and treat your condition, communicate with you, manage bookings and billing, comply with legal obligations and improve clinical services.

We do not sell your information. We do not use your health information for direct marketing without your consent.

Your information may be shared with other treating health professionals, insurers or scheme managers where required for your care or funding arrangement, and with software providers used to manage bookings and records. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.

Health records are retained as required by Victorian and Australian law. You may request access to your records or correction of inaccurate information by contacting the clinic. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.

7. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your care, please contact Bridge Road Physiotherapy first so the issue can be addressed.

If your complaint relates to professional conduct, you may also contact AHPRA or the Health Complaints Commissioner Victoria.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the clinic is not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses arising from attendance, non-attendance or the provision of physiotherapy services. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under Australian law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
