Gym and lifting injuries
Gym and lifting injury physio in Richmond
If a squat, deadlift or press has become painful, your assessment should include the movement involved and the training around it.
I assess gym and lifting injuries inside Uplift Gym on Bridge Road. We review your symptoms, current program and recent changes, then work out the next step for your training.
Bring the problem into the assessment
Bring your program and wear clothes suitable for training. We assess relevant strength, movement and lifting tasks where appropriate. The gym gives us room and equipment to examine more than movement on a treatment table.
Recent changes matter. A heavier block, extra sessions, a new exercise or a return after time away helps explain the context. A video or training log is useful if your symptoms are difficult to reproduce.

A plan for your next session
We agree which exercises to keep, modify or pause. Changes might involve load, range, exercise choice or weekly volume. The aim is a practical plan for your next session and a way to assess your response.
As you progress, we review the movements and loads your training requires. Your plan should explain what comes next, rather than leave you guessing.
You do not need to train at Uplift
Bridge Road Physiotherapy is an independent clinic. No gym membership is required. Your rehabilitation should fit the equipment and time available where you normally train.
